Rio is one of our 8th grader students in English class. He lives with his family in a small rented house.The house is only one small room, this one room acts as the bedroom, living-room and kitchen. His father passed away 5 years ago due to a stroke, prior to this he worked as a Bajaj driver. Rio’s mother should work to support the family, she works 8-5 everyday doing cleaning and laundry and sometimes babysitting. The family income is around US $100 per month. Rio walks to school everyday where he is quiet but studious. He tries very hard to learn everything from his teachers as he hopes to be a pilot. He loves going to school and playing soccer with his friends.
