Thia is one of our 5th graders (SD) in English and Mathematics class. She has a cheerful personality. She is knowingly kind to her friends. Thia lives with her parents in Cipinang Muara area (3-5 km from Jakarta center). Her family moved last year from the previous location (Cipinang Elok Market area) due the fire that burned her house and over 40 houses around the area. Thia’s family rents a house in one of the slum areas of Jakarta. The house is only one small room, this one room acts as the bedroom, living-room and kitchen.

Her father was selling fries, now is a construction laborer with unfixed income because it’s quite often there’s no one who wants to hire him. Her mother is a housewife. Thia is a diligent student. She always comes to the center thrice a week. She joins English class every Monday and Wednesday and English class every Saturday. After the class, she usually plays and dances with her girl friends. Thia really loves to dance. Thia’s favorite subject is English. Her goal is to become a Pediatrician one day.
