Marvel is one of our 7th grader students (SMP) in English, Computer, and Mathematics class. He is smart and talkative. Soon, he’s going to take the National Exam to finish his study in Elementary School (SD) and go to Junior High School (SMP) in June/July 2020. Marvel’s favorite subject is Science dan PE. Marvel lives with his parents, a younger sister, and grandparent. Marvel is a highly motivated student. He’s growing up in an area in which there are many dropout children and working from such a young age. Marvel likes to play basketball in the school. He wants to be a basketball player in the future.

Marvel is living with his little sister, mother, and father in a room about the size of a big car. The toiler and bucket shower is inside too, separated by a wardrobe from the main area. At night they put the two mattresses on the ground and there is no way not to step on them if you want to go in or out of the room.

Dad is working in a café stall, he likes his leisure too much and does not want to attend every day. His mother is a shopkeeper in a baby stuff store. Mum is sometimes fighting with dad over money. If he does not go to work, she has to ask her sister for food, or another family member for some money to feed themselves. When we went to visit them, Marvel had just come back from school. He was chewing hard on a 1-2 day old pancake and playing with his little sister. She seems to like his presence, laughing a lot more.
